1. Who we are

UsedCarAgentJapan ("we", "us", "our") is an independent vehicle sourcing consultancy. This policy explains what personal information we collect and how we use it.

2. Information we collect

  • Identity and contact data: name, email, phone/WhatsApp, destination country.
  • Sourcing brief: target vehicle, budget, remarks you provide.
  • Shipping and import data: destination port, consignee details when needed.
  • Payment data: handled entirely by Paddle. We receive a transaction reference and last four digits of the card only.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and basic analytics collected via cookies.

3. How we use it

  • To respond to your enquiry and deliver the Services.
  • To process payments and issue invoices (via Paddle).
  • To arrange inspection, freight, and customs documentation.
  • To meet legal, tax, and export-compliance obligations.

4. Legal basis

We rely on (a) performance of a contract with you, (b) our legitimate interests in operating the business, and (c) legal obligations related to tax, export, and anti-money-laundering rules.

5. Payment processor (Paddle)

Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd. as merchant of record. Paddle receives your name, email, billing address, and payment card data directly and processes them under its own privacy policy at paddle.com/legal/privacy. We never see or store your full card details.

6. Sharing

We share personal data only with parties needed to deliver the Services: auction agents, inspection companies, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and Paddle. We do not sell your data or use it for third-party advertising.

7. International transfers

Because we source from Japan, China, and Thailand and ship worldwide, your data may be transferred outside your country of residence. We only transfer what is necessary to complete your order.

8. Retention

We keep enquiry and transaction records for as long as needed for the engagement and to comply with tax and export record-keeping obligations, typically up to seven years.

9. Your rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your personal data, and to object to certain processing. To exercise these rights, email Saqib.prof@gmail.com.

10. Cookies

We use a small number of first-party cookies for session state and basic analytics. You can disable cookies in your browser at any time.

11. Security

We use industry-standard measures — TLS in transit, restricted access, and secure hosting — to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure; we ask that you also protect your account and devices.

12. Contact
